The National Institute for Security Studies is a state-owned think tank established with the support of the Government of Mongolia. Its mission is to conduct academic and policy research, information analysis, and strategic assessment regarding external factors impacting Mongolia’s national security and shifts in the global and regional security landscape, thereby providing decision-making support to state and government institutions.
Mission
The Institute primarily operates by producing analytical bulletins, policy briefs, and academic studies, distributing its research findings through publications and journals to security sector specialists and stakeholders. Additionally, it is responsible for organizing national and multi-national strategic dialogues, conferences, and forums on specific issues concerning international and regional security as well as bilateral relations.
